Mercedes Benz will enliven car segment hydrogen-fueled future. The German manufacturer confirmed to bring fuel cell products are built using the platform of sport utility vehicle (SUV) Mercedes Benz GLC.
"We're in the middle phase of the research and development of this type of car now," said Thomas Weber, head of group research and Mercedes Benz cars development of Daimler AG as quoted Carscoops, Sunday (01/17/2016).
He added that the car only takes approximately three minutes to refuel hydrogen into the tank until it is full. Tanks specially designed by engineers at Mercedes Benz.
Although not described in detail on the specifications and technical data of the car, GLC Class Fuell-Cell will be unveiled in 2020.
